Powered by the impassioned dedication of Dr. Nomal Chandra Borah and the professionalism and selfless support of myriad stakeholders, Guwahati Neurological Research Centre (GNRC) was incorporated in 1985 as the first ever super specialty health care centre in this part of the globe.
From a humble beginning, GNRC has taken colossal strides ignoring the hostile environment and emerged as a dependable and admired Health care Institute extending its services to the people of Assam, its neighbouring states and the neighbouring south East Asian countries of Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Myanmar, who lack super specialty healthcare facilities. Today, quality is the buzzword at GNRC and offering the best value to the visiting patients to build their unflinching trust on brand GNRC is at the core of health institution’s DNA.
At GNRC, flawless round the clock patient care is ensured by a dedicated team of 100 Doctors, 300 Nurses and 1000 employees. Presently GNRC has 200 beds including 110 ICU beds. Every action of the Hospital is steered towards making quality healthcare available and affordable.
Along with diagnostic and therapeutic function, GNRC also organises academic programmes like annual lectures and regular research programmes so that its team always remain updated with latest developments across the world and thus can pass on the benefits to the people in need.
