A spicy mutton curry with lentils.

PREPARATION TIME:- 10 mins
COOKING TIME:- 40 mins
SERVING:- 4 pax

INGREDIENTS:-

1) 1 cup   —- Masoor dal
2) 1 kg     —- Mutton (boneless and cubed)
3) 2 nos  —- Onions (sliced)
4) 1 tbsp —- Ginger paste
5) 2 tbsp —- Garlic paste
6) 2 tsp   —- Coriander powder
7) 1 tsp   —- Cumin powder
8) 1/2 tsp —-Turmeric powder
9) 1 tsp   —- Red chili powder
10)1 tsp  —- Garam masala
11)3 tbsp —-Juice of 1 lemon
12)4 tbsp —- Oil
13)     —     —-Salt (to taste)
14)     —    —- Coriander leaves (to garnish)

METHOD:-

* In a pressure cooker boil dal and mutton along with salt and 2 tbsp oil until the dal is tender.

* In an another pan heat 2 tbsp of oil and saute the onion pieces until brown.

* Add ginger and garlic paste and fry for a minute.

* Add cumin,turmeric,coriander,red chili and garam masala powder and fry until the oil separates from the masala.

* Then add the dal-mutton mixture to it and mix well.

* Bring it to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes in medium heat.

* Remove, add lemon juice and garnish with the coriander leaves.

* Serve with rice or naan.
