Alcheringa, the annual cultural festival of IIT Guwahati has, repeatedly over the years, not only continued to live upto its name, but also managed to better its own standards of the life and celebration it brings to its people. Alcheringa, which originates from an aboriginal Australian language and means “Eternal Dream Time”, is widely regarded as the biggest cultural festival of Eastern India, and is going be held from 2nd – 5th of February. Transcending notions of being merely a cultural festival, Alcheringa, today, is a brand of national repute. Built to cater to the EQ of the youth of the entire country, graced by the presence of entertainers of international repute and maintained by a dedicated team of IITians that work around the clock to mould this phenomenon, Alcheringa has been changing the lives of everyone that it has brought within its recesses.
