NITS Mirza offers admission in the following disciplines of 4-year Bachelor of Engineering Degree course under affiliation to Gauhati University for the academic session 2011-12:
• B.E. in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)
• B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
• B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (ME)
Each discipline would admit 60 students this year.
CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION IN FIRST SEMESTER
Eligibility Requirements
1.50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of any reputed board/ council with relaxation, wherever applicable, as per Government norms for different categories.
2.A rank in the merit list of AIEEE or the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) of the State of Assam.
3.Age not to exceed 25 years as on 01 October 2011, with relaxation of 5 years in case of scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and physically handicapped categories.
Mode of Selection
#.65% through merit in CEE, Assam with reservations for different categories as per Government norms.
#.25% through merit in AIEEE.
#.10% through merit in qualifying examination and AIEEE/CEE and interview.
