Bora Chawal, a variety of sticky rice found in Assam, plays an important role in Assamese culture. No Assamese festival is complete without snacks made from Bora Chawal. A simple and easy recipe is provied here

Ingredients
2 cup sticky rice (Bora saul)
Refined Oil 2 tablespoon.
Bay Leaf – 2 nos
Elaichi – 2 nos
Hot Water 3 cup
Sugar as required

Curd/Cream, whole sugar(Gur or jaggery )

Wash the Sticky Rice. In a pressure cooker put the oil. Add 2 tablespoon sugar, bay leaf and elaichiin the oil and fry for 2 mins. As the the sugar turns to red add the rice there. Fry for 2 minutes and add the remaining sugar and hot water. Close the cooker and give 2 whistle.

served with curd/cream.
