INGREDIENTS:-
1) 1 kg —- Chicken (cut into medium sized pieces)
2) 2 nos —- Onions (finely chopped)
3) 1 no —- Tomato (finely chopped)
4) 3-4 nos —- Green chillies
5) 1tbsp —- Ginger-garlic paste
6) 1tbsp —- Coriander powder
7) 1tsp —- Fennel seed power
8) 1/2tsp —- Turmeric powder
9) 1 tsp —- Pepper
10)1 no —- Green cardamom
11)1 no —- Cinnamon
12)1 tsp —- Cloves( grounded)
13)2tbsp —- Oil
14) — —- Salt (to taste)
15) — —- Coriander leaves (to garnish)
METHOD:-
* In a grinder take cinnamon,cardamom and cloves and grind it to a powder and keep it aside.
* Heat oil in a pan, when its hot add onions and saute till transparent.
* Then add green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and saute for 5 mins on medium flame.
* Then add the chicken pieces and cook on high heat for 5 mins.
* Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, fennel seed powder,salt and pepper, mix well and reduce heat to medium and cook it covered for another 5 minutes
* Then add the chopped tomatoes and cook it for another 4 minutes without cover.
* Add a cup of water and cook covered for another 4-5 minutes or till you get the desired gravy consistency.
* Lastly, add the grinded mixture(which was done in a grinder in the 1st step),mix and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
* Serve hot with rice or chapatties or naan
