Carrots have a large amount of vitamin a, an excellent antioxidant that cleanses your body of free-radicals ensuring that you stay young and energetic.

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients
2 cups chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 tbsp yellow moong dal (split yellow gram)
3/4 cup low-fat milk (99.7 % fat-free)
salt and to taste

Method

1. Combine the carrots, onions and moong dal together, add 2.5 cups of water, mix well and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid. Keep aside to cool.
2. Transfer to a deep pan, add the milk, salt and pepper, mix well and bring to boil. Serve hot.
