He has received prestigious “ MERITORIOUS INVENTION AWARD 2010, FROM Department of Science and Technology –Govt of India.
He was awarded with SHRISTI SAMMAN –MASTER INNOVATOR award by NIF-India on 2007.
He received PRESIDENT AWARD on 18th Nov. 2009 for INNOVATION.

Adjusted topper on the open innovation competition of N.East innovation competition organized by DEPT. OF SCIENCE &TECHNOLOGY –GOVT. OF ASSAM on Feb 2010. for his unique innovation “TOILETTING AND CLEANING CHAIR FOR PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED PEAPLE.

His technology was one among the 18 selected for most prestigious exhibition on innovation at Rashtrapati Bhavan –It was marked indeed as National honor to the innovator. He too was invited to be at Rashtrapati Bhavan from March 10 to 14th-2010.

His name came in the top of the list in a categorical selection of 5 Amazing innovator of India by REDIFF MAIL on Oct. 1—2010.

He is going to receive RAJIVGANDHI LEADERSHIP AWARD on DECEMBER 25ththis year.

He is being honored by Axom Sahitya Sabha with “PRAYUKTY-RATNA” sanman Title.”

The US-based National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has shortlisted Assamese innovator Uddhab Bharali for its prestigious NASA Technology Award.

Bharali has also been nominated for the World Technology Award 2012 given by World Technology Network.

Based in North Lakhimpur town in north-eastern Assam, Bharali has 39 universal patents to his name. But the 45-year-old innovator is best known for his mini pomegranate de-seeder.

Bharali began innovating in 1988, and his first device was a polythene filmmaking unit. He has since innovated 98 engineering devices.
